Where are the limits of digitalization in production and what effects are achieved? How can companies shape the sustainable transformation and become climate neutral? And how can companies, research institutions and networks in the Leading-Edge Cluster work together to develop solutions? We discussed these questions in our digital forum 'Let's talk: From digitalization to sustainability'. In addition to the speakers Prof. Dr. Birgitt Riegraf (University of Paderborn), Dr. Frank Possel-Dölken (CDO Phoenix Contact) and Günter Korder (Managing Director it's OWL Clustermanagement GmbH), around 80 other cluster partners took part. Despite intensive efforts for Industrie 4.0, one searches in vain for visible effects in productivity statistics. Dr. Frank Possel-Dölken, CDO Phoenix Contact and Chairman of the National Platform Industry 4.0, showed in his keynote speech "Digitalization turnaround - beginning of the end or end of the beginning?" where we stand in the digitalization of companies and explained why serious effects can only be achieved by solving the marginal cost problem. Günter Korder explained how to proceed with the peak cluster.
